We are executing a range of energy-saving and decarbonisation initiatives across our integrated steel plants. Among the numerous projects undertaken under the purview of the Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Energy, Environment and Decarbonisation (SEED), our flagship environmental programme stands out as a prominent demonstration of how environmental stewardship is being embedded into our core operational framework.
SEED is designed to achieve substantial, quantifiable reductions in CO₂ emissions throughout our value chain, with a targeted cumulative reduction exceeding 18 million tonnes of CO₂ by 2030. The initiative has received international recognition, having been honoured with the Energy Transition Changemakers award at COP28. Other key initiatives include:
