Measuring Our Success

Business Ethics

At JSW Steel, we are committed to operating with the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and accountability across all levels of the organization. Our Policy on Business Conduct outlines the principles of honesty, fairness, and good faith that guide our operations. All employees are expected to act within their authority, dedicate sufficient time to their responsibilities, and uphold the interests of stakeholders ethically. The policy is approved by the Board of Directors and is periodically reviewed to ensure alignment with evolving global standards.

Our Principles and Governance

We engage with internal audits and third-party assurance (by Bureau Veritas India Pvt. Ltd.) to validate the accuracy of disclosures and ethical practices. The Board and its Committees oversee compliance, risk management, and ethical conduct across the organization. JSW Steel’s ethical framework is built on the following pillars:

These principles are embedded in our Code of Conduct, which applies to directors, employees, suppliers, and partners. For more details on our policies, refer to JSW - Sustainability - Policies.

Corruption and Bribery

Preventing bribery and conflicts of interest is non-negotiable – we act with complete transparency and never seek advantage through illegal means. We provide rigorous training to all employees and contractors on our Code of Conduct, whistleblower policy, and key areas such as anti-bribery, anti-competition, and conflict of interest – aiming for 100% coverage by 2030. We also drive awareness on key issues including:

  • Educating all employees on fraud and money laundering prevention.
  • Promoting fair competition principles.
  • Ensuring responsible handling of confidential information.
